In brief:

Do you want to learn all the ins and outs about screen printing? Then this course of 6 lessons in total is for you! Corvo teaches you how to apply the slabloon technique on different surfaces, such as textile and paper. We delve deeper into form and composition and how to create an interesting image. When does something appeal to the imagination? How does building different layers of color create an eye-catching image? You do not necessarily need to be able to draw or paint well for this course. Anyone can screen print!

Structure of the lessons:

During this course we will mainly work with the template technique. This is a technique in which we “press” ink through the screen using stencils. So screen printing! You will learn various screen printing terms such as: hooking and dismounting.

The lessons are divided as follows:

Lesson 1: Intro about the technology and the possibilities. We are going to start making designs for our first time screen printing on paper.

Lesson 2: Screen printing on paper. We are going to make some high-quality prints on quality paper, which we will frame beautifully in the last lesson. You will also learn how to “lay out” the paper.

Lesson 3: Intro to screen printing on textiles + printing 2 tote bags.

Lesson 4: Screen printing on textiles + printing a shirt or cushion cover. We can get started with patterns, or would you rather just make a larger, cool design? This is of course completely up to you.

Lesson 5: Starting your own project. Would you like to continue with screen printing on paper? Or will you bring a batch of shirts to print your own logo or design? Or do you want to print a cool design on a denim jacket? The choice is huge.

Lesson 6: Completing your own project + framing your most beautiful print on paper.

The price of the course includes:

- Coffee, tea and something tasty.

- Textile and paper inks.

- Use of sieves, spatulas, squeegees, knives, cutting mats, paper, scissors, stencil foil, etc.

- 5 sheets of heavy quality paper for printing on paper.

- The option to bring your own surfaces to print on or to set up your own screen printing experiment.
