About the event

In short:

Make your own mini set of cake plates during this ceramic workshop! During this evening we will work with the slab rolling technique and at the end of the workshop you will have made three cake plates of your own hand. Eating cake will soon be extra festive :)

What is the slab rolling technique?

The process starts with rolling out the clay to the desired thickness, after which we cut out the right shape and size of the plates. The plates can then be decorated with relief, textures or personal designs to give them a unique character.

During our workshops you will learn the tricks of slab rolling and discover how to use this challenging technique to create beautiful cake plates that will leave a lasting impression. So, let your creativity run wild and add a touch of artistry to your next dessert presentation. There is the possibility to make a painting with underglaze. Want to keep it nice and basic? Then choose from one of the beautiful high-quality and food-safe glazes, so that you can use your plates endlessly and can even easily clean them in the dishwasher.

Practical information:

For whom: Anyone who wants to get acquainted with ceramics, or has worked with clay before
